Let the good times roll....

The phrase let the good times roll seems to me to exist only because the good times have their ups and downs - their peaks and troughs. Why not let the good times flow...? That sounds like a much better metaphor to me.

Obviously you don't understand the logic that exists behind idioms. Rolling was fun as a child and implies a dizzying motion that evokes euphoria. Thus, enjoy these emotions, is what it's trying to say.
